Terms and conditions
1.0 Operational ownership
1.1 The content of this website is owned by Goju Ryu Academy Limited (the Academy), located at its Registered Company Address of 44 Willow Way, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 1LA, United Kingdom. Company Registration Number 07208838.
1.2 Any correspondence concerning the content of this website should be posted to Goju Ryu Academy Ltd at the above registered office address.
1.3 All copyright and intellectual property rights to the design, videos, imagery, and text content of this website are reserved by the Academy, and they remain non-transferable. All rights accruing to Uscreen are duly acknowledged.
1.4 No part of this website, including the video content, can be reproduced or stored in any public or private retrieval system or service, including other third-party websites.
1.5 We can be contacted by email at membership@gojuryuacademy.com. We aim to answer all inquiries within 24-hours. We are a small organisation. So, if we take longer, please be patient.
2.0 Acceptance of terms and conditions
2.1 By accessing and continuing to use any part of this website, visitors shall be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions set out on this page.
2.2 The terms shall be governed by, and enforced in accordance with, English Law.
2.3 This agreement represents the complete agreement and understanding between the Academy and any visitor to this site.
2.4 Any new features added to the site shall be subject to the same terms and conditions, unless otherwise stated.
2.5 The Academy reserves the right to remove or replace content without notice or consultation with its subscriber base.
3.0 Disclaimer
3.1 The academy accepts no responsibility or liability for any claims arising from the actions of a person who uses any of the published techniques they may have viewed on this website against another person and causes them harm. We have no control over the actions of our viewers, and they must accept sole responsibility and liability for the consequences of their actions.
3.2 We publish this online library as an online learning and teaching resource that should be used by viewers to augment the training they receive from a qualified and competent martial arts instructor, operating through an EGKA or IOGKF recognised dojo.
4.0 Subscription Licence
4.1 On successfully paying for a chosen subscription, the subscriber will be granted full access to those parts of the library defined in the subscription level.
4.2 The technology we use provides multiple versions of the video content that should permit a subscriber to view the library on an Apple or Windows PC, and most popular smartphones. As the ability to stream video content is dependent on the equipment being used to view the website, bandwidth, and service constraints of the viewer's personal arrangements and location, the Academy gives no guarantees on the ability to enjoy uninterrupted viewing at all times.
4.3 Subscribers must not share their login details with any other person. The system we use can detect login sharing. We reserve the right to close and suspend an account, without notice or compensation, if we detect potential password sharing abuse. We will contact the subscriber to discuss the situation if we decide to suspend an account.
4.4 The subscription licence is intended for private viewing of the library's content. Public broadcasting and viewing are not permitted. If we become aware of such activities, we will close the account without notice and without compensation.
4.5 On the basis that the entire content of the library can be viewed as soon as access has been granted, the Academy will not repay a subscriber for the unexpired portion of an annual subscription should they apply to close their account before their service expiry date. The subscription price we charge should be viewed as the cost of the Academy arranging access to the library. Once the admission has been successfully arranged, the Academy will have discharged its contractual obligations owed to the subscriber. The fact that the subscriber can continue to access the online library for a period of one year is incidental to the obligation to arrange the initial access.
5.0 Privacy and Compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

5.3 We do not knowingly share personal information with any other third-party beyond our legal obligations to retain name and address information about our clients in accordance with UK tax legislation, or any other Government agency with a legal mandate to access that information. We only retain personal information about lapsed subscribers in line with official UK legislation and guidance
